In case you haven’t heard, tomorrow, Embrace will be hosting Time Festival at Fort York Garrison Commons. This event is a definite ‘must-see’ for avid music fans since the lineup covers so many genres on the musical spectrum. For those who’ve never had the pleasure of attending this festival in the past, don’t make the same mistake this year. You’ll have the opportunity of seeing a variety of performers! Although the music will be great, the artists on this year’s bill are definitely known to put on a show. The lineup basically guarantees there will be something for everyone to enjoy. I’ve been perusing ‘the YouTube’ and other outlets to learn a little more about each individual artist's approach to putting on a great show and I must say that I am quite ecstatic to see Mac Demarco. I’ve been warned he enjoys climbing large or complicated structures, poking himself with things and has no shame baring it all on stage. His music is dope but I am curious to see what on stage antics he has in store for us. I’m also pumped to see the very talented Freddie Gibbs; a great rapper from Indiana who draws inspiration for the historical greats such as Biggie (one of my favs), and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. And lastly, I’m pumped to see the always crazy, always zany, Die Antwoord. If their live acts are anything like their music videos, I’m sure they will be leaving the masses confused and yearning for more.
