Haitian-Canadian DJ Kaytranada is scheduled to headline this at NXNE this year in lieu of Tyler the Creator. In a statement released last Wednesday, NXNE president/managing director, Michael Hollett, said “We’re thrilled to have such an amazing, exploding artist as Kaytranada to highlight Saturday night at the Port Lands. Kaytranada is on a remarkable career trajectory as he takes his place as one of the most important and entertaining DJs in the world.”

Haitian-born and Canadian raised, Kaytranada has been on the rise in the last few years. On May 6, 2016, he released his debut album, 99.9%, which was met with incredible success and multiple awards, including Best New Music from Pitchfork for “Glowed Up ft. Anderson .Paak." He was also nominated for a Much Music Video Award and won a Prism Prize Award for his music video for “Lite Spots.”

Katranada will be performing at the Portlands on Saturday, June 24 along with previously announced acts Passion Pit, Post Malone, Bleachers, and Tinie Tempah.

Peaches

Award winning electro-pop artist, Peaches, will also be joining this year's line up. The multi-talented Canadian artist is set to perform at the NXNE Launch Party at the Phoenix Concert Theatre on June 19. While the festival itself is all ages, the Launch Party and Peaches' performance is 19+ (sorry, kiddos).

Weekend passes for the festival start at $125 - single day passes are also available for $80. You can get your tickets and check out the rest of this year's lineup at www.nxne.com.
